A competition held within a international workshop at the TU Delft led us to sprint design of a dormitory for the students in only a week.
In our plot we found a very singular element that turned key in our design process. We found a very anciant tree inside the plot and our idea was a design that enhances tree exposing the whole building to it, as a center of our composition. Here was borned the idea of a circular building where its center is a tree.
From this idea of a cercle, our urban design starts to take shape throught the use of a fractal structure base on our original primitive shape. From here all the elements will be designed with this geometry in mind, from pavement to urban furniture.
There are 3 different size units according to its localitation in the building. All of them designed having in minds multiple energetic concepts like the sun shadding, air flow, etc.
